The swooshing sound of water around your swim cap is only interrupted before you go through your first bed of milfoyl, by the screech of an eagle………….or was it a hawk? It doesn’t matter all the same as you are front row for your own free concert in a series of mindfulness. Summer’s burst of lava energy is about to burst and wane in the third month of summer. August schreeches like the bird does, before it dies taking summer with it, only to peeter out into it’s weaker state known as September………………the second best month to swim in Alabama. By now the sun is setting and you’re on you way back to the pier, all the boat traffic has ceased, as if they are taking a cue from the calendar itself. You are all alone in the weakened wakes of the house boats rolling slightly up and then down with their cadence. The same deers who greeted you coming in to park will be there to say goodbye going out. You’ve go a dinner appointment in Sardis at Bama Bucks on the way home. There is no better life to have!
